Old Man, Eat Big

So i had a hot date with my physiotherapist
at SGH today la can???
Wahahahahaahahahaha…

A grueling 1and a half hours session,
i didnt feel any improvements at all,
although the electrical stimulation therapy
was very nice. Ok nvm, its not
what you people think ok!!!

The true hot date was my dear Emillia,
who accompanied me to the hospital and
waited patiently for me to finish. Such a
girl, is hard to find, yet she makes it soo easy
for me to cherish her. Thanks alot.

And of course, after 90 mins of physio,
a man can get very very hungry!!!
So we decided to dine in at Swensens at
Causeway Point. It has been a while
since i last ate there, and im so loving it!

Missing It

Spending time at Central Fire Station for
almost years now,
ive considered the workplace a second home
to me.

The ambulance calls had been a mix of
fun, stupidity, hard work and a test of
immense patience,
plus it gave me a chance to see 1st hand
what it was to be a front liner.

As of today,
i no longer am able to go for any calls,
as i am out with injuries until i ORD.

Sad, but very true.

Secret Exposed

Just now was a grueling few hours for me,
as i headed down to Singapore General Hospital
for my orthopaedic appointment.

It was for my screwed up back,
and as i expected,
it didnt look that good.

And the doctor ruled me out for months,
giving me light duty up til 30th June this year,
18 days after i actually have ORD.

So it looks like my office hours duties are
here to stay longer than i wanted,
but i had no choice coz health must come first.

Run Forest, Run

Today was a beautiful day as expected,
so i decided to drag my lazy baby out of bed
and into her running shoes !!!!

Ok maybe it was a wee bit hotter than usual,
but i thought it would be a good opportunity
to keep fit and have a jog at Bedok Reservoir.

I love to run or jog in parks or at reservoirs,
because there’s so many different sights to feast on,
unlike running in a circle in stadiums or
running in a freaking straight line on a treadmill.

Besides, you get to enjoy the breeze after
a hard days run or workout,
especially with a loved one by your side.

Hot Air

Yes yes yes… By now many many Singaporeans, or should i say, the whole wide world knows that our little tiny weeny small-dot-on-the-map country is hosting the first ever Youth Olympic Games (YOG).

So much celebrations and noises and cheers in town that day, all excited and geared up to welcome the YOG to Singapore, and looking forward to watching on these games.

Some people even took time off their busy schedules and take along their loved ones to witness the official announcement, hoping and praying that Singapore would go down the record books as the 1st country to hold YOG.

Life Setbacks

Just like the title says, isnt our lives full of setbacks??

Things dont always go the way you wanted to, no matter how desperate you want a particular thing to happen/occur. Thats life, coz its so bloody unpredictable.

And such things or setbacks can either break you, or it can be somewhat a blessing in disguise. Its just how you see it, or more importantly, how you deal with such unpredictable setbacks.
