Missing It

Spending time at Central Fire Station for
almost years now,
ive considered the workplace a second home
to me.

The ambulance calls had been a mix of
fun, stupidity, hard work and a test of
immense patience,
plus it gave me a chance to see 1st hand
what it was to be a front liner.

As of today,
i no longer am able to go for any calls,
as i am out with injuries until i ORD.

Sad, but very true.

It had been a blast and an excellent
learning experience throughout,
and i couldnt have asked for a better vocation
than an ambulance medic.

I will definitely remember all the hard work,
sweat and blood that i put into the job,
working my arse off for the sake of my country,
for the sake to save our people.

And i’ll certainly miss going to the hospitals,
especially where buying of food is concerned!!!
Well i’ll miss Tan Tock Seng Hospital the most,
coz the foodcourt at level 1 is my favourite.

Although they serve plenty variety of food there,
my favourites are the Mai Thai stall and as you
would have guessed,
the dessert stalll of course.

Mai Thai sells food with Thai influence in
the cooking, and tastes very sweet
with little spots of spicy. I loved it.

Well not only does this place sell mixed rice,
they also sell fried dishes like
Thai Beef Noodle, Phad Thai and so on.
Lots and lots of variety for this stall.

Dessert stall is a must for me anywhere,
coz without desserts,
ill go on hunger strike!!! I need desserts!!

And the two favourite desserts that i usually
indulge sinfully in are the Red Ruby,
and of coz i love the cold Chng Tng very much!!!

But alas,
i have no choice but to give up such things,
with a heavy heart, nontheless.

I still have more months before i ORD,
and i honestly am unsure what the
future will hold for me in National Service.

But the truth remains that i will be
on office hours duty, working from
8am to 6pm everyday from Monday up
til Friday.

And i maybe, just maybe,
will be tranferred to HQ Medical Dept.
Whatever it is,
im ready to face it head on.

Fear is never an obstacle for me.
Coz i was born with something greater
than fear,
and that is wrath.

Thanks for the memories.
From a lowly private to the MOST
SENIOR
medic in the 1st station of the 1st
Civil Defence division,
i have had it good all the way.

It has been great. It has been fun.

I will miss it. Badly…..
